MY FAMILY & STORY

Meet the Harding Fam! I’m the middle child and have four sisters. Fun fact, we all start with K. My sisters and I grew up a few years in Charlotte, North Carolina, then moved to Cape Town, South Africa, where we’ve been for 14 years.
My sisters and I went to a local public school in South Africa, where we all wore uniforms and grew up playing tons of sports that the school offered. School sports are huge over on South Africa, and it’s high level competition.
With this big move across the country, my sisters and I wanted to have a way to show our friends and family back home how life was like in South Africa. Soooo… my Mom recommended starting a YouTube Channel. That’s where “K5 Sisters” was born. Today, we have 40,000+ subscribers watching our videos. At first we posted silly “Get Ready With Us for School”, where we had harsh cuts and not really creative transitions into our outfits (hahha). Mom and Dad would film and we would give them our ideas.
As my sisters and I got older we got more into social media and business. My sisters and I started an AirBNB and our parents taught us how to run it. When Covid Hit, the AirBNB went on hold, and our social media grew. We five sisters were all together for months and filmed fun challenges and got into Tiktok and Instagram Reels. Some of our dances even went viral!
Now all the sisters are spread across the world on their own adventures. Kaiden (22) is at Davidson College in North Carolina. Kirsi (21) is at Wheaton College in Chicago, Illinois. I’m here at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. And the last two sisters are back home in South Africa finishing up high school. The house is getting more and more empty. My poor parents.
I can’t wait to see where the two ‘littles” end up. So far i’m predicting that Kelty and Kerani will come and be with me at Liberty University. It would be so fun to be able to see eachother around campus. Also it would be fun to film tiktoks together, since that’s what we love to do. Time will tell I guess. For now, we sit and wait…

Undoubtedly South Africa will forever be my home. I love my hometown, Stellenbosch, and all of its beauty! We’re 13 minutes from the beach, 40 minutes from the city, and live around the mountains in the vineyard. I couldn’t ask for a better setting to see everyday.
With us all grown up, we get to meet back in South Africa for some of our breaks from school. In 2023/2024 we’ve come home for a hot summer! Other times we travel to other coutries and explore all of what they have. I would say over the years my family has gotton really good at planning trips. Weather that’s where to stay or activities to do, even the kids help to plan. The older we get the less and less my parents have to do, and the more independent I feel. This travel experience has really given me the skill of knowing how to travel by myself easily. I have flow by myself numourous times, since being in college in the US, and flow up to Euroupe to meet my family for vacations.
A fun new adition to my life has been my boyrfriend, Kason. He plays LAX at Liberty University. Today, we’ve been dating for almost a year and a half. He’s my best friend and I love doing everything with him! I call him KJ. Get this! Just like my sisters and I all starting with ‘K’, he has 7 siblings that all start with ‘K’.
